WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will open their 2024 home schedule against Charlotte Independence at 7 p.m. on May 25 at Future Legends Complex.
Hailstorm scored seven times in two home matches against the 2023 USL League One runners up, earning a 3-2 win in July and taking a 4-2 victory in September. They will be looking to win their second-consecutive home opener after last season’s 4-1 triumph over Central Valley Fuego FC.
However, Hailstorm will open the 2024 USL League One season with a trip to Lexington SC on March 9.
The 2024 season will be the sixth in USL League One history, and Hailstorm will look to become the league’s sixth different champion in those six seasons. Defending champions North Carolina FC have departed the league for the USL Championship and have been replaced by expansion club Spokane Velocity FC.
