WINDSOR, Colo. — Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC announce that forward Ethan Hoard has been signed for the 2024 season, pending League and Federation approval.
Hoard joined Hailstorm as a trialist at the beginning of the preseason and scored five goals in the club’s first two preseason matches, earning a spot on the roster for the season.
“I’m very, very excited to get started,” Hoard said. “It’s a great group of guys and they’ve embraced me on the team.”
Prior to joining Hailstorm, Hoard completed his college career at UC Davis, playing in both attack and defense for the Aggies and scoring a pair of goals. He scored eight goals total in his college career between UC Davis and Green Bay.
Hoard also had success in USL League Two, scoring 12 goals in 11 matches for RKC Third Coast in 2023, helping lead them to the playoffs in their inaugural season.
He has now earned his chance to show what he can do at the USL League One level in Northern Colorado.
“He’s fitting in well on and off the pitch,” Hailstorm head coach Éamon Zayed said. “The guys like him a lot and he showed up and took his chance.”
